Daniel Patrick Kelly

Daniel Kelly, 76, of Wake Forest, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was born on November 27, 1947 in Ireland to the late Francis Kelly and Mary McLaughlin.

Daniel worked for Sunrise Fire Department in suppression and later became a Division Chief. He enjoyed spending time with his 4 grandchildren: Gianna, Joseph, Preston, and Logan. He made it a priority to attend all their sports events and activities. 

He enjoyed watching both the NFL and college football, he was a NY Jets fan and Notre Dame fan.  He enjoyed traveling, attending antique car shows, and a good bottle of Amber Bock. He was an avid reader and his favorite authors included James Patterson, John Grisham, and Tom Clancy. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Kelly; and sister, Anne McKay.

He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Kelly; stepdaughter, Marisa Napoli; stepson, Christohper Napoli; brother, Frank Kelly; and sister, Rosemary McNamara.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at St. Catherines of Siena Catholic Church at 520 W Holding Ave, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
